green rat records is a netlabel based in nizhny novgorod, russia, the main part of the rat hole project. our primary musical preferences are ambient and minimal techno, we are especially interested in minimal sound. formats of our releases are mp3, 192 kbps, stereo. also, we have a sublabel dead rat records, releasing live sets from the rat hole.

the music of mikel mendia (spain) with it's peculiar structural roughness has fitted niceky in the context of modern techno dub. one might asume, that "warm up" & "kyoto" were gathered specially from the scruples of the same vibe, which once lived in sunflower unpurified dub. "no light in the street" - reflexion on some energy crisis (past or approaching). however the odd thing is that the music, which is technocratic per se, always lets out some unusual heat....

the spirit of the first net-release half-opened the holes, where the green rat will be making its promenades. following the "nothing amiss, when saving whiskers and tail" principle, wanderratte had felt crackling of the musical linen on its own back ('recommand' track) and came to the conclusion, that techno is on the verge of foul - i.e. when it's not yet hard, but already catchy ('ucomputer remix') - provokes a natural reflex of musculoskeletal system.
